Jetoy Choo Choo Cats

OMFG I LOVE JETOY CHOO CHOO CATS AFSDKJFALDKHGAKSFAKSJFLKS. Right now you are probably wondering "wtf Kaori r u ok did you just have a stroke." No, my friend, no I did not. I am just real excited because I discovered one of the best things ever.

Jetoy is a Korean brand that produces the wonderful Choo Choo Cat line of stationery, accessories, etc. Basically, cute products with these ridiculously AMAZING illustrations of adorable wibbly-eyed kitties surrounded by flowers and pastel colors and sparkles and all kinds of awesome stuff. In other words, it's an amalgamation of ALL THE BEST THINGS EVER.

While Choo Choo Cats are plentiful in South Korea and have expanded to Japan, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, everyone else has to shop around online to get their hands on some Choo Choo kitty goodness. Amazon actually sells some Jetoy items, but the largest selection of products can be found on eBay - just search "jetoy" or "choo choo cat" and tons of results will come up. As long as the seller has a good rating and is based in South Korea, it's probably legit. So go buy some awesome cat stuff! RIGHT NOW RIGHT NOW.

Sesame snaps are like THE FOOD OF THE ANGELS.

Have you ever had a sesame snap?? HAVE YOU EVER HAD LOUCKS SESAME SNAPS?!?? They look like a weird old person treat, and maybe they are, but they are DAMNNNNNN TASTY, SON. They don't even have any kind of website, just that Facebook page I linked to, but they are nonetheless totally legit. So good. So freaking good.

Made of sesame seeds and sugar, they are very good to take along for hikes and such because they will give you lots of energy! By which I mean that they have like a billion calories. But that's okay, because they also have lots of protein and fiber. Although it is probably not okay that I eat multiple packs of them while sitting around doing nothing.....hm. Oh well. They are just too delicious.

And apparently, they also come in a CHOCOLATE VARIETY, which are comprised of the same sesame snap base with drizzles of dark chocolate on top. WHAT THE FUCK BRO, CALM THAT SHIT DOWN. No, Loucks will not calm that shit down, because they are in the business of making freaking tasty-ass sesame treats that completely blow people's minds. Or at least my mind.

These things are so awesome that I ordered a whole display box full, as shown above, from Amazon. You should probably also do that. Or maybe be more reasonable and just find them in a store and buy one or two. Whatever, it's your choice to not be truly happy in life, with your piddly non-large-box's-worth of sesame snaps. Have fun being sad and sesame snap-less.

...But seriously go eat some of these, they are amazing.

Okay. This next picture. I have to give you the backstory. I can't for the life of me remember what this girl's website/blog/Livejournal(??) is, but anyway. She was apparently taking a vacation in Japan, and was just walking down the street one day when she saw THIS.

WHAAAAAAAT THAT'S AWESOME.

Oh you know, just a Japanese girl with a face mask walking around with A CAT WEARING A WATERMELON HAT PERCHED ON HER SHOULDER. No biggie. Um, actually, YES BIGGIE. Hence she wisely asked the girl and her shoulder-cat for a photo. And it is the best photo. I especially like how the watermelon shoulder-cat is just staring at the girl. STARING.

But I guess if this kind of super weird and nonsensical thing was to occur, it would certainly occur in Japan, lol. (Actually....one time when I was visiting Japan I saw this high school kid walking home with his friends, you know, being a normal kid after school. EXCEPT. He had a LEMUR that was alternating between riding on his shoulder and leaping onto then running along railings as he passed them. And when it would reach the end of the railings it would wait for the boy to catch up and then leap back onto him. All of which is pretty freaking weird. But the real kicker was that NOBODY WAS EVEN BATTING AN EYELASH AT THIS. AND THAT MAKES IT SO MUCH WEIRDER WTF JAPANNNNNN.)

As is quite apparent by looking at pretty much any of my blog entries and/or being in my presence for at least ten minutes, I love me some cats. Less well-known is the fact that Wheel of Time is one of my favorite book series. As such, I was particularly struck by this passage from Food Junk (emphasis my own):
